Insurance
Your insurance policy, if any, is a contract between you and the insurance company. I am not part of the contract between you and your insurance company, and you are responsible for knowing what your insurance covers. As a service to you, I am willing to assist with insurance issues and questions. I am also willing to submit claims to insurance companies and other third-party payers. However, I cannot guarantee such benefits or the amounts covered, and I am not responsible for the collection of such payments. In some cases, insurance companies or other third-party payers may not consider certain services to be reasonable or necessary, may determine different standard and customary rates, or may determine that services are not covered at all. It would be very helpful if you would check the specifics of your insurance benefits, if any, prior to our first meeting.
Please check your coverage carefully by asking the following questions:
Do I have mental health benefits?
What is my deductible and has it been met?
How many sessions per calendar year does my plan cover?
Is Dr. Bee a network provider for my insurance plan?
How much does my plan cover for an out-of-network provider?
What is my co-payment or co-insurance amount per session?
Is approval required from my primary care physician or from the insurance carrier before I see a psychologist?
I am presently an in-network provider with:
Aetna
Medicare
Moda Health
PacificSource
Regence BlueCross BlueShield of Oregon
This list is subject to change. Many health care plans plans provide out-of-network mental health benefits (typically at a reduced level of coverage). I am willing to submit claims to these carriers as well.
